Description

Home to an old airfield in the middle of the desert, Chuckwalla Valley Raceway offers a balance of fast straights and challenging corners, in addition to a brilliant sunset.

One of its most distinctive and exciting features is the turn 13 fishbowl, with its 11° of banking that allows you to slingshot around at high speed.

There is only one track right now at Chuckwalla, but there are plans for 2 more to be laid down.

How do I get here?

About 3.5hrs east of LA and San Diego, Chuckwalla Valley Raceway is just past Joshua Tree Park.

Take the exit for US-177 from the I-10, turn left, drive a bit less than 5 miles, and you should see the tanks labeled with the track name. Drive down that road, and you'll arrive at Chuckwalla Raceway.

Tips from Track Manual

• This track is in the middle of nowhere. The closest non-track food, gas, or hotel is 30 minutes away. Bring your own food. Thankfully, Chuckwalla doesn't upcharge for gas as much as some other tracks do.
• The run-off areas are pretty rock-free, and there aren’t many solid walls or objects to hit, so feel free to push the limits of your car more.
